The Story

Born from a love of gardening...

...and an obsession for horticulture.

A passion for ornamental horticulture germinated deep within my character during my youth. Spending early summer months scouring our rolling countrysides for small speciality garden centers with my grandmother Monica, propagating spider plants with my mother and shelling garden peas with my great-grandmother Lilian after a slow stroll through the veg garden were all common, yet cherished moments from my younger years.
As I've moved through life, I keep finding myself being pulled back to my roots...ironic isn't it?

Over the last decade of building my farm, Clara Joyce Flowers, I've found such comfort and joy in the small spaces. Yes, the rolling hills and never-ending rows of dahlias at Clara Joyce Flowers make the soul swoon, but the quiet little corners outside of the greenhouse doors are where the magic is. Small moments filled with hellebore, vintage columbine, and swaying allium, tucked under the casted shadow of an overgrown dappled willow make the heart sing and a tear well on the waterline.
This sense of wonder and magic is what I want to share with you through Lilian Hill.

Lilian Hill Gardens, named after my great-grandmother Lilian and a nod to the countryside neighborhood that raised me (Blair Hill), is my opportunity to share our garden magic with you- the home gardener.

Lilian Hill will grow over the next few seasons as we build out and share our expansive speciality perennial collection, propagate speciality garden annuals from my travels around the world, and offer unique shrub and woody type plants that lend their magical limbs to creating memorable garden moments.

Unique. Curated. Speciality. Hard to find.

All things that bring our lives, and our gardens, lasting memories.
